Interplex Daystar Acquires Assets of Pylon Tool
Franklin Park, IL – February 19, 2009. Interplex Daystar, Inc., a custom metal stamping and insert molding company and a division of Interplex Industries, Inc., announced today that it has acquired the assets of Pylon Tool, a US-based custom precision metal stamping company, specializing in assembly in the progressive die, most notably rivet-type contact insertion. As part of the acquisition, Interplex Daystar has added specialized manufacturing equipment and intellectual property to its service portfolio as well as hired some of Pylon Tool's former employees.

In addition to its precision metal stamping and insert molding capabilities, Interplex Daystar now provides contact insertion and other in-die assembly technologies such as mixed-metal, which are commonly found in high current carrying applications in the automotive, white goods, and industrial controls industries. These processes will be performed at Interplex Daystar’s facility in Franklin Park, IL.
