Interplex Metal Logic joined Interplex Industries in 2003. The company specializes in engineering solutions for the manufacturing of complex tooling, prototype and development, intricate metal stamping, unique reel-to-reel insert molding, and automation for component assembly in the automotive, communications, electronics, medical, and military industries.

From concept to reality, prototypes are created and carried through multiple levels of processing including precision Reel-to-Reel Skiving, Etching, Plating, and Powder Coating to create finished sub-assemblies. In addition, the company continues to offer services on an "a la carte" basis and support high speed, high volume and low volume applications requiring Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Interplex Metal Logic utilizes state-of-the-art technology such as a customized Solidworks 3-D CAD design package coupled with a CAM software from Mastercam and Esprit. This allows the company to maximize its use of CNC machining technology in areas of Machining, Wire EDM, Ram EDM, Form Grinding, and Jig Grinding to create tooling cost effectively and meet critical tolerances with consistency and reliability.

INTERPLEX METAL LOGIC SUMMARY OF SERVICES:

Prototypes: In-house design and manufacture of prototype tooling for stamped metal components as well as short run volumes. Modular base tooling and on site reel-to-reel photoetching is used to minimize lead time and reduce time to market for our customers.

Tooling: In-house tooling capabilities include engineering a solid model design, CAM packages for linkage to CAD, and modern CNC machining on various equipment manufactured by HAAS, Charmille (Twin Wire and Ram), Current Moore, and Wasino. Portfolio consists of a high level of aptitude in press fit contacts, connectors, terminals, lead frames, and shallow drawn parts.

Stamping: Design, manufacture and run progressive dies for various volume applications. Materials include high performance Copper alloys, Beryllium Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel, Monel, and Nickel in various engineered forms such as Pre-plated, Skived (dual gauge), Inlay, and Electron Beam Welded. Pressroom possesses modern, high precision Bruderer presses ranging from 10 through 60 tons with a maximum capacity of 100 Tons.

Plating: Reel-to-reel, selective plating is conducted at the Interplex Metals facility located 15 minutes away.

Insert Molding: Insert molding of engineered plastic onto stamped and plated components. The company possesses the ability to automatically feed multi-strand product in a reel-to-reel continuous process through high cavity precision Molds. Proprietary lines utilize Vertical Nissei injection mold machines ranging in tonnage from 60-80 Tons.
