Interplex Industries Acquires Quantum Engineering
College Point, NY – November 1, 2007 - Interplex Industries, a leading global provider of metal stamped, die cast, plated, and plastic molded components and assemblies, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Quantum Engineering, a Korea-based die caster.
Quantum Engineering, which will be known as Interplex Quantum, is located just outside of Seoul, Korea. The company develops and produces die cast components, specializing in thin-wall, complex shape components for mobile device housing applications.
Jack Seidler, Interplex’s President and CEO, commented, “Interplex is very happy to have the Quantum team join the Interplex family. Interplex has a very strong history in metal forming technologies and surface finish technologies. As we continue to expand our capabilities to support the mobile device industry, Quantum’s expertise in die casting and alloy development provides us with a unique competitive advantage to meet the emerging needs of this important market.”

Founded in 1958, Interplex Industries provides contract design, precision metal stamping, coating and finishing, insert and injection molding, metal etching, assembly and automation services around the world and is headquartered in College Point, NY. Interplex currently provides its services to the communications, electronics, medical and automotive markets. The company has facilities in the United States, Mexico, China, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Korea, Scotland, France Germany and Hungary.
