Five Interplex Industries Facilities Earn TS 16949 Certification in 2005
Flushing, N.Y. - January 6, 2006 - Interplex Industries, a leading global provider of metal stamped, plated, and plastic molded components and assemblies, announced today that five of its manufacturing facilities achieved compliance with the ISO/TS 16949:2002 standards, international quality control designation established for suppliers to the auto industry during 2005.
The five Interplex locations that have received official certification or been notified of their compliance in 2005 are Interplex NAS in Flushing, NY USA; Interplex NAS (Beta) in Bergenfield, NJ USA; Interplex Daystar in Franklin Park, IL USA; Interplex Electronic (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd in Hangzhou, China; and Interplex PMP: Arbroath, Scotland UK.
"At Interplex, we continue to push ourselves to achieve the highest quality standards required by our customers and the industries we serve,” Dennis Segalewitz, Interplex director of corporate quality. “Each of our component production facilities meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2002. However, achieving the TS 16949 certification demonstrates that these facilities also have the ability to meet or exceed the rigorous quality requirements of the automotive industry."
Currently, nine Interplex facilities have achieved ISO/TS 16949:2002 status. The company expects several more to gain certification during the 2006 calendar year.
Headquartered in Flushing, NY, Interplex Industries has provided contract design, precision metal stamping, electroplating, insert and injection molding, photochemical machining, chemical metal etching and assembly services around the world since 1958. Interplex currently provides its services to the communications, electronics, medical and automotive markets. The company has facilities in the United States, Mexico, China, Singapore, India, Scotland, France and Germany.
