100% SOLDERABILITY WITH THE CLAW
Included in the NAS line of solder and flux bearing leads is an exclusive design called the "Claw." This design provides direct contact between the flux-cored solder preforms and conductor pads, which produces a wiping action as leads are attached. This assures 100% solderability and provides even greater assembly economy and efficiency. In fact, NAS solder and flux bearing leads produce perfect solder joints so consistently that users find they can eliminate most or all of the costly inspection and rework necessary with other methods.

THE SIMPLE, EFFICIENT METHOD OF APPLYING NAS SOLDER AND FLUX BEARING LEADS: Clips may be attached manually or with a lead attachment machine. Direct contact is made between the solder preforms and conductor pads.
Interference fit holds clips firmly in position for reflow. Top and bottom preforms are reflowed in one operation. Precise amount of solder & flux, along with the shape of the patented NAS "Claw" design, control solder flow without a solder stop. This assures perfect mechanical and electrical bonding without wicking or bridging.
